You can instantly forward text messages and emails into NoteVault for entry into your daily reports. To set this up, you will need to follow the outlined steps below.

The first step is adding your phone’s MMS email address to your user profile.

To find your phone’s MMS email address, simply send a text message to your own email address. While this works with most carriers, some networks do not support it. When you receive the email, look at the sender. It is usually formatted as phonenumber@carrier.com (i.e. 5555551212@mms.att.net)

Next, you will want to add your phone’s MMS email address as an approved submission method in NoteVault. If you navigate to NoteVault.com and sign in, click on the link for “Your Info” at the top right of the page. In the User Detail section, you can add additional email addresses in the “Other Email” field. Add the address discovered above into this field and click Save at the bottom left or the User Detail section. You can now send text messages directly into your project by sending the text message to your project email address found on the top right of the project page.

To forward text messages:

On Android: Tap and hold on the desired text until your action menu appears. Select the forward icon, and forward the text to your project email address.

On iPhone: Tap and hold down on any message in a conversation, and you will be given the option to select one or more individual messages. Choose the ones you want to send, and then tap the forward button on the bottom right hand side of the screen and forward to your NoteVault project email address.

Now you can easily send notes via text message or forward text conversations right into your NoteVault projects for instant documentation.
